![]() The moments appear chronologically in the Photos view. Just to be sure, what do you mean by "Import into albums"? You cannot import directly into albums, but import into the library, and the photos will be automatically split into moments. My photos appear out of chronological order after import into albums. It's all very confusing until you work with the app for while, or at least it was for me. " menu item, it won't change the "All Photos" sort order (because that always sorts by date added to the library) or any smart album sort order, but it should change the order in the "Photos" views. If you change the date and/or time using the Image > Adjust Date & Time. You have to do that individually for each album - there is no global setting to turn off the date sort. Regular user-created albums default to being sorted by when taken but unlike the others, you can uncheck the "Keep Sorted by Date" item in the "View" menu & manually drag them into whatever order you want. The order in those views can't be changed either, nor can the order of "smart" or any of the system-created albums. The "Photos" view (the first button in the toolbar or first item in the Sidebar if it is visible) is ordered by when the items were taken & organized into a Years, Collections, & Moments hierarchy. For instance, the "All Photos" view is always ordered by when items are added to the library (not when they were taken), & that order can't be changed. The order they appear in (& what sort options are available) depend on how you view them. I'm wondering if I'm 'missing' something? Or is it a bug in Photos? This is just aggravating and I cannot even manually reorder them. I could be viewing my photos and they next photo is completely out of place. When I download them now into 'Photos', some appear out of chronological order. I'm not having a problem with that.my problem is I have two different cameras I use at the same time and therefore photos are intermixed depending which camera I use. That's the way it works for me - basically, the camera adds whatever date & time it is set to at the time the photo is taken, & that doesn't change unless you alter it later on. The time of day is most critical to me, since the date is usually always correct. I may be misunderstanding this thread regarding time zones, but I'm confused about that since I thought that if you set the timezone in your camera with your current location, it will automatically adjust to the correct time of day where are standing at that moment. ![]()
